Description Description This dataset records the location and extent of the local government areas within South Australia and their relationship to the Cadastre. Local Government Areas are an administrative theme to the Digital Cadastral DataBase (DCDB). Local Government Areas are under the control of local governing bodies. The Local Government Authority defines the Local Government Areas. Usage Used to spatially define gazetted Local Government boundaries. Can be used as a reference, backdrop or as a selection set, providing target data is not cadastrally defined.

Data Quality Lineage Captured from the digitsing of the Local Government Ward or Area boundaries. If Wards exist, they are merget INTO the local government areas to create the outer boundary polygon, then amalgamated INTO the County areas. Completeness Full coverage Positional Accuracy In line with the underlying parcel cadastre, road centreline or topographic data
