Description Description State Heritage Areas in South Australia that have been designated under the South Australian Heritage Act 1978 and authorised under the Development Act 1993 Usage For overlaying on development applications and other planning related activities.

Data Quality Lineage The Heritage Areas were derived from the original proclamations supplied by the Heritage Branch in Dept Environment & Heritage and captured using the 2003 cadastre. They were then checked by the Heritage Branch. For those heritage areas which are in the far north of the state, the boundaries where created by using the coordinates supplied. Completeness As at October 2003, complete for all State Heritage Areas except Coopers Creek - Innamincka. Updated September 2004 to include minor amendments to boundary of Church Hill State Heritage Area at Gawler. Positional Accuracy Accuracy same as cadastre from which boundaries were derived.
